Scout's Ham Costume - To Kill A Mockingbird
Production: U-Del REP
Costume Design: Devon Painter
First fitting with Veraform shell
The ham was constructed using the thermoplastic, Veraform to create the base shape. Felt was then Mod Podged on top to add stubility and make the surface paintable. Upholstery foam was used to create the bone protruding from the top. The interior was stuffed and covered for comfort. To further support the comfort of the wearer, quilting was used for the straps and batting and flannel was used to cover the face and armholes.
